Scratch Beginnings
7:00 p.m. talk, Downer Ave.
If you were alone in an unfamiliar city, with just $25 and the clothes on your back, how would you survive? Would you be able to get a job, apartment—maybe even save a little money—within a year? That’s exactly what Adam Shepard set out to do. He’ll discuss what it was like applying for jobs and working his way out of a homeless shelter and other experiences from his yearlong experiment.
